The story behind the marsh
Adventures at Fiddler Marsh began with a simple question: what if children could see the world through the eyes of the creatures who live in it?
The salt marsh is one of nature's most fascinating places — where land meets sea, where the tide shapes every day, and where hundreds of species live together in a web of connection. It's also a place most kids never get to visit. So we're bringing the marsh to them.
Each book follows Skipper and Pebble — two young fiddler crabs — through adventures that teach real science, genuine life lessons, and a love of the natural world. Every story is rooted in actual marine biology. Every character is based on a real species. And every lesson grows naturally from the way these animals truly live.
Meet the residents
Every character is drawn from a real species that lives in the salt marsh.

A real ecosystem
Every corner of Fiddler Marsh is drawn from real coastal habitats — kids learn how an entire ecosystem works, one adventure at a time.
Exposed twice a day by the tide — the fiddler crabs' feeding grounds, dotted with burrow doorways and tiny mud pellets.
Tall cordgrass that holds the marsh together — a whole forest at crab height, home to shrimp, snails, and hidden nests.
The marsh's highway, where the tide comes and goes and the big creatures visit — blue crabs, terrapins, and schools of killifish.
Nature's water filters — a living reef where hundreds of small creatures find shelter along the creek's edge.
Herons, egrets, and ospreys — the marsh is as alive above the mud as it is below it.
